フランスからインターンがやってきました！

SELF-INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone, my name is Ewen, and I joined Export Japan (EXJ) as an intern in April 2026.
I am originally from Brittany, France, specifically from a small town called Châteaulin, where I graduated from high school with a focus on economics and geopolitics.
I then moved to a bigger city, Brest, where I had the opportunity to study International Trade. As part of my graduation requirements, I needed to complete an internship abroad.
This is when I realized that I had the opportunity to go to Japan.

はじめまして。2026年4月からインターンとしてエクスポート・ジャパンに加わりました、イーウェンです。私はフランスのブルターニュ地方出身です。シャトラン（Châteaulin）という小さな町の出身で、高校では経済と地政学を専攻していました。その後、ブレストという大きな街に移り、国際貿易を学ぶ機会を得ました。卒業要件の一環として海外インターンシップを経験する必要があり、その時に「日本へ行くチャンスだ」と気づいたのです。

WHY JAPAN?

Japan has always been my dream destination. Everything from its culture to its food and sports has fascinated me for many years. Doing my internship in a foreign country felt like the perfect opportunity to work in Japan, discover its culture, enjoy its food, and experience its work environment.

なぜ日本だったのか？
日本は私にとって、ずっと憧れの国でした。日本の文化、食、そしてスポーツに至るまで、あらゆるものに長年魅了されてきました。

海外でのインターンシップは、日本で働き、その文化に触れ、美味しい食事を楽しみ、さらには日本の職場環境を肌で感じるための、まさに絶好の機会だと思ったのです。

HOBBIES

Since the age of eight, I have practiced various martial arts, such as boxing, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.
I also have a strong interest in music. I have been taking drum classes for eight years, and I taught myself how to play the guitar and piano. Before arriving in Japan, I used to swim regularly and go to the gym.

趣味
8歳の頃から、ボクシング、ムエタイ、キックボクシングなど、さまざまな格闘技を続けてきました。また、音楽にも強い関心があります。ドラムは8年間教室に通って習っていましたし、ギターとピアノは独学で弾けるようになりました。日本に来る前は、定期的に水泳をしたりジムに通ったりして体を動かしていました。

DISCOVERING EXPORT JAPAN

I discovered Export Japan through LinkedIn, where I contacted the company because its work strongly interested me and aligned with my studies. Export Japan seemed like a great opportunity to learn and improve my skills in fields such as international relations, thanks to its multicultural and multinational team.
I joined Export Japan as an intern on April 20, 2026, to participate in the Accessible Code program, which helps blind and visually impaired people by providing, via a QR code, both an audio presentation of the scanned product and a written presentation in multiple languages.
I am looking forward to working with everyone!

LinkedInでエクスポート・ジャパンを知り、その業務内容が自分の専攻と合致しており、非常に興味を惹かれたため連絡を取りました。多文化・多国籍なチームを持つこの会社は、国際関係などの分野で自分のスキルを学び、高めるための素晴らしい場だと感じたからです。

私は2026年4月20日にインターンとして入社し、「アクセシブル・コード（Accessible Code）」のプロジェクトに携わっています。これは、QRコードを通じて商品の音声解説や多言語のテキスト情報を提供し、全盲の方や視覚障害のある方をサポートする取り組みです。
