I see it all the time on Japanese companies’ English websites. In a form, その他 (sono ta) is translated as “others.” I can’t help but remember the excellent 2001 supernatural horror film “The Others” starring Nicole Kidman. The correct translation is “other.” Don’t scare your customers away. 🙂

日本企業の英語サイトでよく見る間違いがあります。入力フォームや選択項目に見られる「その他」が「others」として訳されています。いつも2001年のニコール・キッドマン出演の優秀なホラー映画の「アザーズ」を思い出します。「その他」の正しい英訳が「other」です。お客さんを怖がらせないでください (´・ω・`)
